the bricklayer

So here's my first game I created with Adventure Maker.
Screenshot 1

Basically it's a room escape game, in which someone has locked you into a mysterious room without a door and you need to find a way out - otherwise you are going to starve!
The game has a storyline and there will be a sequel (or two).
Make sure to turn up your speakers.

Warning: there is a scary and morbid atmosphere as well as some simulated cartoon blood, so if you don't like such things please consider whether you're going to play the game or not.
Also, please don't let your (young) kids play the game or at least have a look at it before.

Further instructions are to be found in the game.
Please be patient, the download might take a few minutes.

Good luck and have fun!

Note: After the download has finished, you need to unzip the downloaded file. After that just click the program icon in the unzipped file and the installer should be started.

  3. I´ve just started to play it and got stuck.
Sadly, not much people like to download games.
I made about 6 games in Adventure Maker, with no success, cause the only way to publish them is for download.
So far I could not find water yet, and I guessed I could cut the diary with the knife, but not.
Thanks for the game. Hope I can climb up soon.

  4. Thanks for the great game Stefanie.
The hint with 'box' was really hard, but that's ok. An escape should be difficult to make it fun and challenging.

  5. Really good game. What a pity that the sound doesn't work with WIN7.
Mercifully I have also a PC with Vista so I was able to play it also with sound :)

Keep up the good work.I'm waiting for new games from you.

    Greetings Stefan

  6. Thank you everyone for your comments and for playing my game.
It's my first game ever and I think - well, I hope - I can only get better ;).
It's hard to choose the right level of difficulty and to make the game as logical as possible.
I must admit that the 'cut the book' part was not exactly that logical. I just tried to add a 'little' challenge there, not one of my best ideas, though.
Also I'm very sorry to hear about the technical bugs (according to what I've read on Escape Games 24 there were a few - and I didn't know that in WIN7 it has no sound at all, that indeed is a pity).
Of course I will try to fix as many problems as possible so noone has unnecessary trouble with downloading and playing my games.

Greetings to everyone and have a nice time ;)
    Stefanie
